Working Experience at Buffalo First Wealth Management LLC
Hello everyone, my name is Hoang Nguyen and I am a student at Medaille College. I had a great summer of doing an internship at Buffalo First Wealth Management LLC. Before I came here from Vietnam, I had a really hard time of finding an internship in Buffalo. Therefore, I was telling myself to learn more and work hard. In the beginning, Mr. Connolly and Mr. Dembski gave me a lot of specialize terms that I needed to understand. After that, they showed me how to pick funds and compare them with other funds. Then they taught me different types of portfolios and how to build a portfolio. I realized that there were a lot of things I have never learned in college. Moreover, this experience gave me chances to communicate with the entire office. The office dynamic of Miss Eckis, Miss Abaya, and Dr. Smith enhanced my overall knowledge. It also helped improve my speaking skill. I remembered that when I did not do my homework before I came to work, Mr. Connolly lectured me about culture in the financial services industry that there is no day off. You need to get the job done when your boss ask. It was a really hard time for me to understand at first, but I knew it would make me grow into a young professional. I do not know how to say thank you to all of you. Thank you so much Mr. Connolly, Mr. Dembski, Miss Eckis, Miss Abaya, and Dr. Smith for helping me over the summer.
